Social and Cultural Activities invite students to experience the local color of Spain and to enhance their education. The T&E staff develops unique cultural activities in order to maximize cultural immersion.
Weekends are the time for students to take advantage of their included excursions to places like Madrid and Segovia or plan trips of their own throughout Spain and Europe! In the next section we list some of the activities that are available to students at various points during their program.
Outside of that, many students spend a lot of time exploring the city, meeting up with friends at local bars and cafés, and taking advantage of the many attractions that are available in Salamanca!
The city often organizes special activities such as flamenco shows and other cultural events. These activities will be organized on a day to day basis as the opportunities arise. Some may be included while others may carry an additional cost. T&E will notify participants of these activities when the information becomes available.

A typical day in Spain starts at about 7:30am for students where they get up and have a light breakfast before heading off to class. Classes generally end in the early afternoon and students will then make their way back to their homestays or residence halls for lunch at about 2:30. Then they will have the chance to relax for a little bit before going back for afternoon classes or activities that start at around 5pm! The afternoon winds down at about 9pm when students will then go back and have dinner.
