- Anyone looking to expand their professional skills with Spaniards
- Anyone who has a GPA of 2.5 or higher*
*The University of Salamanca (USAL) has an admission requirement for all levels of Spanish proficiency, for students with a 2.50 GPA or above. All students wil be required to take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Salamanca. The exam will determine the language proficiency level of each student, as well as the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
- A valid passport. Everyone who will participate in our T&E Travel Abroad Spain program has the responsibility of obtaining a valid passport.
- For students staying in Spain for more than 90 calendar days a travel visa will be required. View a checklist here.
- For federal information concerning passport and visa applications visit: travel.state.gov
- Please Note: When applying for a passport and/or visa, your passport should be valid for an additional six months from the last day of your program. (Because the application procedure for visas can take up to 2 months, participants need to make sure they allow ample time for completion and processing of the visa application prior to their program’s start.)
- Airfare. All of our programs are all-inclusive, with tremendous features including transportation to and from the airport, however the only things you need to pay for is your actual airline ticket!

What Happens Next?
What You Can Expect
- Please make sure the e-mail address you provided on your application is correct and check your spam/junk mail to make sure you don’t miss any communications from us.
- Submit your $95 Application Fee to ensure timely processing of your application, if you have not already done so. The fee is non-refundable. For the refund policy visit here.
- Receive your personal link. A welcome letter will be sent within a week of applying. Your personal link will be included, please keep this email so that you can access your inscription form for changes.
- Receive your official invoice that will be sent via email. If you require paper invoice, please contact us to request.
- Send a Confirmation Payment. $295 for Short-Term Programs and $495 for Long-Term Programs is due upon receipt of your official invoice.
- Receive your very own T&E orientation packet with gifts. They are sent in March for summer programs, and sent immediately upon applying for the semester program.
- Expect periodic communication from T&E from the moment you apply to your last week on the program. You will receive a:
- Welcome letter (upon receipt of application)
- Preparation Checklist (one month prior)
- Final details (three weeks prior)
- Accommodations details (two weeks prior)
- Transfer details (Two weeks prior)
- Monthly program feedback (end of first week and every month)
- Thank You letter (last week of program)
- Note Payment Due Dates. For summer programs, payments are due the beginning of April, and for semester programs, payments are due as follows:
- Fall Semester – beginning of August.
- Spring Semester – beginning of November
